Eddy Trail Races
About this race
Eddy Trail Races are based at Chi Rho Center on the south side of Lake Sylvia, on the outskirts of Annandale, MN. The 50k and a half marathon run through the Stanley Eddy Park Reserve, a wonderful series of trails in our nook of the state. Big Eddy and The Eddy are more than just races, they are beautiful MN trails, an experience of elevation, pain, perseverance, comradery, and so much more! Whether you are new to the trails or these distances or you are a seasoned trail distance runner, both races will push you to your limit and give you great success. Our aid station crews will be supporting you every step of the way.
Have you ever gone to a race and been rushed before or after because of lodging or other logistics? Have you ever met people on the course and then not seen them again? You have the opportunity to lodge at Chi Rho, hang out with fellow runners for the weekend, and not worry about your meals, all while relaxing at an amazing lake in central Minnesota.

Big Eddy 50k
The heart of the Eddy Trail Races is Stanley Eddy Park Reserve, and the Big Eddy course gives you plenty of it! You’ll loop through each section of the park while also taking on the country roads that connect the trails back to Chi Rho Center. You’ll pass the main aid station six times, plus three additional aid stations twice each. That’s 12 aid station stops over roughly 32 miles, so you’re never too far from fuel, water, or support when you need it. And about that “50K”... the course is actually closer to 51–52K. But we won’t tell anyone if you don’t. 😉 Once you’ve conquered the Big Eddy, cross that finish line, kick off your shoes, and jump in the lake—you’ve earned it! The Eddy Half Marathon
The Eddy Half Marathon is a beautiful mix of trails, gravel, and a little pavement to start and finish your race. You’ll take on approximately 8 miles of trails and 3 miles of gravel, giving you plenty of time to experience everything this course has to offer. You’ll have access to three different aid stations, including one you’ll pass three times, so you’re never too far from water, fuel, or support when you need it. The trails of Stanley Eddy Park Reserve are scenic, hilly, and just challenging enough to make that finish line feel even better. And once you cross it? Kick off your shoes and jump in the lake—you’ve earned it! Course map: https://www.strava.com/routes/3119468093304085560
