Are you ready for it?
Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, there is an event for everyone. Our Electric 5k offers 2 events: 1-mile and a 5k. Portions of proceeds from the registration will be put towards the LCRC Summer youth Program, a series of 1-mile fun runs free to kids 14 and under, and donations to Dona Ana area high school cross-country programs!

$5 per person discount for groups of four or more runners who register at the same time.
Free 1 Mile Youth runners cannot register with a group to obtain a group discount.
Location of Events
All races begin and end on W Hadley Ave across from the Meerscheidt Center. Our 5k runs South on W Hadley Ave to Solano, north to Madrid, making a U-turn before the Apodaca Baseball field, and retraces back to the finish line. The street will be lined with thousands of spectators waiting to watch the Las Cruces Electric Parade. With less than 10ft of elevation gain, this is our flattest race, creating the perfect conditions for you to run your fastest time.

*Racecourse will close at 9:30 pm for all events

Event Parking
Paz Baseball fields and Las Cruces Skating Park Parking lot off W HadleyJoin fellow runners on July 3, 2026 for the Electric 5k. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Las Cruces.

Electric 5k
The only SW race with audience and at twilight! Due to Electric Parade, runners will have till 9pm to complete the course. Any runner still racing after 9pm will need to abandon the course to allow for parade. We ask that runners not able to complete race in 1hr time, to still head toward finish line and notify timing crew of your safe arrival. As with all our events, registration is free those 14 and under. Though registration is a must to participate (no free giveaways for those with free registration)
1 Mile Fun Run
ALL AGES WELCOMED. Due to 5k race start time of 8pm, all 1 milers will need to complete their race before 7:50 to receive a time. 1 milers after this time will be marshalled off course to clear it for start of 5k event. As with all our events, registration is free those 14 and under. Though registration is a must to participate (no free giveaways for those with free registration)
