10K Cross Country Run
This 10k (6.2 mile) run through Anastasia State Park's beach, hammock, and salt marsh takes you through some of St. Johns County's most beautiful terrain. The race begins near the Island Beach Shop and Grill, proceeds with a beach loop, then across pavement, dirt roads, and soil through the east nature trail and hammock loop. Runners will hit the pavement and trail again as they head to the marsh loop. The last leg of the run shoots the runners back down the main park road to the finish line at the Island Beach Shop and Grill. This is a cross country run and participants must be fit to run on soft sand, uneven terrain, mixed pavement types, and hills with sun exposure, heat, and humidity, etc. Don't miss out on one of the most Beautiful 10K Runs on the Planet !! 5K Beach Run/Walk
This 5K beach Run/walk starts and ends near the Island Beach Grill. This is a low tide beach loop run/walk on hard packed sand beginning at 7:30am at low tide. This is a Pristine, Beautiful Ocean Front location in St. Anastasia State Park.....No Homes, No Buildings........nothing but miles of Beautiful Beach. The 10K and 5K start at the same location, The 5K proceeds along the Ocean Front for 1.3 miles North, then turn around and finish running South.
