Extra Energy Challenge – Move for Chromosomal Variation Awareness
About this race
The Extra Energy Virtual Walk & Run Challenge is a fully virtual event that takes place throughout the month of May.
Participants can complete their miles from anywhere — outdoors, on a treadmill, at the gym, or in their neighborhood. There is no set start time or location, giving you the flexibility to move on your own schedule.
How to Participate
• Register for your preferred distance
• Track your miles using your preferred app or device
• Submit your mileage manually (if applicable) or track for personal accountability
• Complete your goal anytime between May 1 – May 31
Distance Options
• 30 Miles
• 60 Miles
• 100 Miles
• 200+ Miles
You can walk, jog, or run and break up your miles over the course of the month.
Additional Details
• This is a non-timed, honor-based event
• Results submission is optional
• Participants of all fitness levels are encouraged to join
This challenge is about consistency, community, and raising awareness...not competition.
All proceeds support AXYS and their mission to provide education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families affected by chromosomal variations.
