Welcome to the West Point Half-Marathon and kids race website! In its 7th year now, this race has been a huge hit for the Corps of Cadets, but this year it’s now open to the public. This is your chance to lace up your running shoes and compete with the Cadets as you tour a national historical site. This year the race will be capped at 1000 runners so register soon! Cadets: $20 online General Entry: $65 online Kids race: $15 Race Day Entry: $70, $35 (cadets), $15 (kids) (Shirts are not guaranteed on race day!) The race will offer: Chip timing Technical race shirt Finisher’s MEDAL! (New design this year!) Post-race snacks Cadet and age-category prizes! Packet pickup and race finish in Michie Stadium! Bag Check - visitors locker rooms in Michie Stadium Kids 'Rabbit Race' will take place at approximately 0930 for the following age groups: 7 and under, 8-9, and 10-12. We will have a 3/4 mile (1 loop) race around Lusk Reservoir with the finish line inside Michie Stadium! All kids will receive a finishers prize! Competitive Categories: Individual Age Groups Top 3 Male and Female in each: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+ Overall Top 3 Male and Female Cadets Top cadets 3 - Male and Female Team Half Marathon (6 competitors, 4 score) Top 3 teams (first four to cross) with two categories Comrades / Cadet Top 3 Male and Female Individual Ruck Top 3 Male and Female Team Ruck Top 3 teams (first four to cross) with two categories - Comrades / Sandhurst Course Information: Water Points: start/finish, 2.5mi, 5.5mi, 6.5mi, 8.5mi, 10mi, 12mi Latrines: start/finish at Michie Stadium, Shea Stadium, before the graveyard, Stony Lonesome before Lusk Reservoir. Race Day Guidance: Please ensure you allow additional time to get through security checkpoints and park!! In addition if you have a drivers license from these states: Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico and Washington. You will need another form of government identification in order to access West Point due to the Real ID Act! RACE DAY TIMELINE: 7:30 : packet pick-up inside Michie Stadium 8:00: Mills Rd closed to vehicle traffic / parachute team jumps into Michie Stadium (weather dependant) 9:00: Race start 9:20: Kid's race start 1120: Awards ceremony 1400: course closed Parking: Parking is available in A-lot, F-lot or Buffalo Soldier Field. From Stony Lonesome gate: After entering the gate, continue along Stony Lonesome Rd down the hill and you'll see signs directing you to F-lot on the right near the NE corner of the stadium. From Thayer Gate: Parking is available by Buffalo Soldier field on your left as you enter or you can continue on making a slight Left uphill on Mills Rd and then a left on Howze Place. Signs will direct you towards parking in F-Lot and A-lot. Fallen Comrades: This race is dedicated to those members of the Long Gray Line whom have gone to war and made the ultimate sacrifice. Each mile marker will memorialize different fallen comrades from all of our nation’s wars as a tribute. We honor them as individuals as we test ourselves on this challenging, beautiful course. We celebrate their memory as we build camaraderie and thru friendly competition.

Half Marathon Ruck Division
Fallen Comrades Half Marathon Ruck Division: If you are interested in rucking the Fallen Comrades Half Marathon, please note there is no separate sign-up for the ruck. Please register following the appropriate link (cadet/other). On race-day, after collecting your bib, check in with CDT Stephanie McDermott at the Ruck Division Area to receive a sticker, which will designate your bib for the ruck. If you would like to save time, please email CDT McDermott at <Stephanie.McDermott@usma.edu>, and she will pull your bib so you can report straight to the Ruck Division Area on race-day. The minimum weight for rucks is 35 lbs. dry, that is, without water. There are water stations along the route, so bring the water source you are most comfortable with, knowing there are options to refill along the way. Rucks will be weighed upon check in, and again at the finish line.
