Move with purpose. Celebrate freedom. Join us as we run, walk, or roll together in honor of Juneteenth and the generations who fought for liberation.
Together we move to improve our health, honor our ancestors, and strengthen the future of our community.
The FBE Juneteenth 5K is an annual community race hosted by Fit, Black, and Educated, Inc. (FBE).
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas and announced that enslaved people were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
Today, Juneteenth is recognized as a commemoration and celebration of family, liberation, heritage, unity, and resilience.
Through movement, the FBE Juneteenth 5K brings our community together to celebrate this important history while promoting health, wellness, and unity.
Participants of all fitness levels are welcome to run, walk, or roll.

FBE Juneteenth 5K
Join us in San Diego for the FBE Juneteenth 5K as we celebrate freedom, culture, and community through movement. Participants of all fitness levels are welcome to run, walk, or roll the 3.1-mile course while honoring Juneteenth and promoting health and wellness. Registration includes a finisher medal, race bib, and post-race celebration. Optional race shirts are available as add-ons during registration while supplies last.
Virtual Juneteenth 5K
Participate from anywhere in the world by completing your 5K virtually. Run, walk, or roll 3.1 miles anytime and anywhere that works best for you—your neighborhood, favorite trail, park, or treadmill. Virtual participants will receive a finisher medal and race bib, and are encouraged to share their run using #FBEJuneteenth5K.
