Firecracker 5K Run/4K Walk

Celebrate summer with a patriotic bang! This race is sure to be a fast one on the flat Renfro Valley course. Proceeds benefit the Mount Vernon Lions Club.

• Race date: Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Renfro Valley Entertainment Center
• 5K Run/4K Walk starts at 8:00 a.m. EST
• Check in/packet pickup at 7:00 a.m.
• Registration fee $20, includes event t-shirt if registered by Monday, June 29th. (After June 29th, shirt inventory may be limited).

• Overall male and female race winner
• Top three male and female runners in each of the following age groups: 12-under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+
• Top three fastest male and female walkers

• Young folks ages 18 & Under run or walk for FREE! No shirt included in registration, but may be added on for additional fee.
• Kids will receive a commemorative silicone bracelet each race! Collect 7 bracelets to receive a $25 gift card and custom Kids Club t-shirt at the end of the 2026 series! 
• Kids must run or walk - no strollers - to be eligible for awards and incentives. (Age group awards for runners only)
