About this race
The Wishbone 5K Run/Walk is an annual Thanksgiving event for the entire community. This year we’re celebrating 16 years of families coming together for a morning of fitness and fun.
Leashed dogs and strollers are welcome along the route but, in the interest of safety, we ask that these participants start near the back of their corrals.
Why Participate?The Wishbone 5K is the Fishers YMCA’s signature event for the Annual Campaign, which helps to subsidize memberships, programs, summer camp and before/after school care. Since the race began in 2011, nearly $650,000 has been raised to ensure that no one is sent away from the YMCA due to the inability to pay. More than 15,000 participants have grown the Wishbone 5K into the premier Thanksgiving run in our community.
How Your Support Makes a DifferenceYour participation in this annual Fishers tradition allows us to grow the reach of the Fishers YMCA Annual Giving. Your support will help the Y respond to current crucial needs of families from our community and ensure the Y continues to be strong as we emerge better together.
More than one in every four members and one in every five program participants receive financial assistance. Providing Y for All means that we can assist more than 7,000 local families each year. The YMCA is for everyone, but we need your help to make that possible!
VIRTUAL RACE OPTION
Wishbone 5K The "live" Wishbone 5K. This option is for those who want to run the 5K in person at the Fishers YMCA on Thanksgiving morning. **In the event that we move the race to fully virtual, in-person participants will automatically become virtual participants, NO REFUNDS** Wishbone 5K - Virtual Out of state, want to sleep in, or prefer to run whenever you want? You have the option to run a Wishbone 5K "virtually" on a course of your choosing. Complete your virtual Wishbone 5K anytime!Awards
Top 3 Overall, Male and Female Winners along with the Top 3 Masters (40+) Male and Female Winners and Age-Group Awards in 10-year increments (9 & Under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & up) both Male and Female.

Packet pick-up Wednesday, November 25, 12-8PM, Fishers YMCA Thursday (Race Day), 6:30-7AMJoin fellow runners on November 24, 2022 for the Fishers YMCA Wishbone 5K. It's a fantastic 5K, 10K featuring a flat and fast course in Fishers.

REGISTRATION The cutoff for receiving a shirt at Packet Pickup before Thanksgiving is Sunday, November 6. Those registering after November 6 can pick up their shirts at the Fishers YMCA after December 14. PACKET PICKUP Wednesday, November 23rd, Noon - 8PM, Family Prime Time Area, Fishers YMCA Thursday (Race Morning), 6:30AM - 7AM, Inside Main Entrance with limited building access RACE INFO Participants may run or walk along the course and strollers are allowed. Please use caution when lining up to begin the race. Those with strollers will be escorted to the end of the line up area. Start Time: 8AM STUFF YOU GET Participants receive a cool medal and long sleeve shirt! Register by November 6 in order to receive a shirt at packet pick up. Those registering after November 6 may pick up their shirts at the Fishers YMCA beginning December 14. VOLUNTEER There's no better way to give thanks than to give back.
