Flat Bastard Gravel Grind
About this race
Forget the mountains. Forget the climbing. Out here, the road keeps rolling, the miles keep coming, and there’s nowhere to hide.
Welcome to the Flat Bastard Gravel Grind, a Southwest Louisiana gravel event built for riders who know that flat doesn’t mean easy. Starting and finishing at Sportsman’s Park in Welsh, Louisiana, this event takes you down the quiet backroads of Southwest Louisiana, across open country, and across the historic Lorrain Bridge.
With two distance options of approximately 37 and 65 miles, there’s a challenge waiting whether you’re looking for your first big gravel adventure or ready to settle in for a long day in the saddle. Expect long stretches of gravel, wide-open scenery, and the kind of miles that test your legs, your patience, and your determination.
This isn’t about conquering mountain passes. It’s about finding your rhythm, holding your pace, and grinding it out when the miles start to add up. Bring your grit, your gravel bike, and a healthy respect for the relentless beauty of a flat road.
Whether you’re chasing a personal goal, riding with friends, or simply looking for a new adventure, the Flat Bastard Gravel Grind welcomes riders ready to embrace the challenge.
Two distances. One legendary grind. Zero excuses.
Come ride the backroads. Cross the bridge. Earn every mile.
