About this race
WELCOME TO THE FURNACE! The HOTTEST 5K on the Treasure Coast! This 3.1 mile run/walk starts and ends right in front of Fleet Feet Stuart and travels through the scenic and flat North River Shores neighborhood! It’s Florida! It’s Summer! It’s August! Time to have some fun and show the rest of the Treasure Coast that just because it’s HOT, we still love to RUN!

START TIME: 6:30AM
Packet Pick Up is at Fleet Feet Stuart
Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026 | 10am - 6pm
Friday, Aug. 7, 2026 | 10am - 6pm
Race day, Saturday, August 8, 2026 | 5:30 am - 6:25am.
We encourage everyone to pick up your race packet BEFORE race day. We do not require ID so you can pick up your friends and family race packets too. You just need to know their name.
This is a LEAVE NO TRACE RACE. Anyone found littering on the course or parking area will be disqualified. We recommend you bring a reusable water cup or bottle if possible. Thank you for helping keep our North River Shores neighborhood clean.

We want you to race with us. So, we added a reduced race fee if you don't want to receive a finisher medal and a race shirt.
We have options for Registration:
- If you register for 5K Full Price then you are guaranteed a race shirt and Finisher medal.
- If you register for 5K VIRTUAL then you will receive a race shirt and Finisher medal.
- If you want to race "Old School" at a discounted rate then you will receive a race bib only. Choose the in-person race option and when you arrive at the screen to select shirt size, you will see the option to select "OLD SCHOOL (NO shirt/NO medal)" to save $20

Kids Dash
The Kid's Fun Run is a quick 20 yard dash to the Finish Line. Kids will receive their own special race packet and race bib and will earn their treat at the Finish Line.
VIRTUAL - The Furnace 5K
We would love for you to race with Fleet Feet Stuart ~ Port St Lucie, even if it can't be in-person with us. You can complete your virtual 5K anytime between August 1, 2027 and August 14, 2027. Submit your race results to mary@fleetfeetstuart.com. If you are local to our stores then you can pick up your race items during packet pick up; otherwise your items will be mailed to you after the official race date.* Additional $15 Shipping Fee added to have your race packet mailed to you.
