Florence Freedom 5K

HAPPY 250th Birthday America!!

Simply Timing is excited to host the 4th annual Freedom Florence 5K on Friday, July 4, 2026. The race will take place on the very flat and very fast Run Like a Nut course in downtown Florence, SC. All runners will be provided with finisher medals, cooled towels, and post-race concessions. Part of the proceeds will go to support the Disabled American Veterans as well as TOne Child At A Time. he Once Upon a Child Rescue. This race will be a double points grand prix event. Come on out and celebrate America's birthday by starting a new family tradition with us by showing up and dressing out this July 4th!!!

Florence Freedom 5K

• Location: The race will start and end at 120 E. Elm Street Florence, SC 29506
• Proceeds: Part of the proceeds will benefit the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and One Child At A Time. 

Race Day Schedule:

• Day of Packet Pickup starts at 6:30am
• Announcements and National Anthem: 7:20am
• 5K Starts: 7:30am
• 1 Mile Walk/ Run: 7:35am
• 5K Awards: 8:40am
• All 5K runners receive a custom finisher medal:

T-Shirts:

• All runners who pre-register before June 1 will receive a gold shirt or gold tank top
• Tank tops can only be chosen for pre-registered runners ONLY
• Shirts and Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for Registrants after June 1

• Youth: XS, S, M, L
• Adult: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL

5K Awards:

• Top 3 Overall Male and Female
• Top 3 Masters Male and Female
• Top 3 Male and Female in each Age Group

5K Age Groups:

• 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

5K Registration Fees:

• March 26- May 15: $35
• May 15- July 3: $40
• Day of Registration: $45

Event Special Notes:

• Are strollers welcome: Yes
• Can people listen to music while running? Not recommended, but yes they can
• Are pets welcome: yes
• There are no parking restrictions
• There are no age restrictions
