Kick off an unforgettable weekend at the Moffat County Hot Air Balloon Festival with our vibrant, can’t-miss Flying Colors 5K Fun Run/Walk!
Join us at Loudy Simpson Park for a lively stroll or jog along the scenic Yampa River trails. Along the way, you’ll be showered in bursts of colorful powder—turning every step into a bright, joy-filled adventure!
As you make your way through the course, don’t forget to look up—you’ll be treated to the breathtaking sight of hot air balloons rising into the morning sky. Cross the finish line with live music, great energy, and plenty of photo ops to capture every colorful moment.
Not up for the full 5K? No problem! Our One-Mile Fun Run is perfect for kids, families, or anyone who just wants a shorter, equally fun experience.
Pro tip: Wear white—it shows off the colors best!
Commemorate the day with a souvenir t-shirt, available for purchase during registration.

Ages 0–4: Free
Ages 5–17: $10
