About this race
Walk or Run with Us at the 7th Annual Co-op 5K!
Everyone is welcome to join us for this fun, family-friendly community event—whether you walk or run. By participating, you’ll help make healthy, local food more affordable for neighbors in need.
Where do the proceeds go?
Net proceeds from the race support our Community Co-op Cash Program, which provides qualifying shoppers (EBT, TANF, WIC, or Unemployment benefactors.) with 15% off store-wide for an entire year. Our goal is simple: to make fresh, nourishing food more accessible and affordable for everyone in our community.
This program is funded entirely through the generosity of our Co-op owners and shoppers and reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting our neighbors and strengthening food access for all. We hope it helps make shopping at the Co-op a little more affordable—and a lot more enjoyable.
Race Options
This year, we’re offering both in-person and virtual participation.
Register by May 2, 2026 to guarantee your race t-shirt.
Important Notes:
- No dogs are permitted on the race course
- Strollers are welcome

Run this race anywhere May 1-8th! You can submit your time on the race website or just enjoy the race! Your race time can be submitted through May 12th.
5K
We will start at the Fredericksburg Food Co-op and walk/run along the Rappahannock Heritage Trail and Canal Path. This is a great place for some May exercise! All proceeds will go toward our Food for All program which gives additional discounts on purchases to customers shopping with SNAP benefits. Hope to see you there at the 2021 Co-op 5K!
