Foster the Future 5K
About the Event
Welcome to the inaugural Foster the Future 5K, hosted on behalf of Geauga County Job and Family Services. As a department of the Geauga County Board of Commissioners, we provide essential services to support children and families in our community, including raising awareness for the need for foster parents. GCJFS is currently seeking foster families for children of all ages, with the greatest need being for teens and sibling groups. All proceeds from today’s event directly support the care and well‑being of children in Geauga County custody.

Event day registration and pack pick-up will begin at 8:00am with the 5K and 1 mile beginning at 9:00am.Register by May 18 and guarantee an Inaugural Foster the Future 5K race shirt!
Join fellow runners on May 30, 2026 for the Foster the Future 5K. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Burton.
