Founding Fathers 5K Run & Walk
About this race
Kick off Vermillion's Fourth of July Celebration with a fun 5K run or walk! Participants are encouraged to wear their most patriotic gear – costumes encouraged.
Registration and packet pickup begins at 7:30 a.m. Your registration will include a t-shirt, giveaways, and post-race fuel.
Walk starts: 8:30 a.m.
Run starts: 9 a.m.
Awards will be given to top finishers in each age group and best dressed! We'll have an awards ceremony at the main stage (Shakespeare grotto) before the Fourth of July event officially starts.
The walk will be a non-competitive event.
Route: The race begins and ends in Prentis Park near the North Shelter. Run on West Clark to Carr Street, then run the bike paths along Cherry Street to Pine. Finish strong to Prentis Park!
