About this race
Celebrate Independence Day at the Fresno Freedom Run this July 4th as we mark the 250th anniversary of our nation! Start your holiday with a memorable run or walk along an American flag–lined course, surrounded by community spirit and patriotic pride.
The event features a 4-mile run/walk, a 2-mile run/walk, and a fun Kids Run to kick off the morning’s festivities, making it the perfect way for runners, walkers, and families of all ages to participate.
Participants will receive a participant shirt, chip timing, post-race snacks, and a newly designed commemorative finisher medal (design coming in April). Most importantly, your participation helps support Central Valley Honor Flight, an organization dedicated to honoring local World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans by sending them to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor.

One Mile Fun Run
Entry fee for One Mile Fun Run does NOT include a shirt.
5K Run
5K runners will start with the 10K runners.
10K Run
This is a run only event. No walkers as we have to open the course back up to traffic.
4 Mile Run
Your entry includes - American Flag themed T-Shirt, cold cooling towel, water and food at the finish area, timed results and top three age group awards.
2 Mile Run/Walk
Your entry includes - American Flag themed T-Shirt, cold cooling towel, water and food at the finish area, timed results and top three age group awards.
Virtual Run
This year we are offering a Virtual Run for all those participants that want to receive their packet in the mail and Run the Freedom Run on their own time. We will mail the packet after the race. This is a great way for you to be involved. Send us your time and a picture after you do the run/walk.
Walking
5K Walk
5K runners will start with the 10K runners.
