Freedomfest 5K presented by the City of Port St Lucie

The City of Port St. Lucie is set to spark a new Independence Day tradition with its inaugural Freedomfest 5K on July 4, 2026. Hosted at the scenic MidFlorida Event Center, this highly anticipated event invites runners, walkers, and families to kick off their holiday morning with an energetic celebration of community and patriotism. To beat the summer heat and maximize the festive atmosphere, the race will start promptly at 7:00 AM, making it the perfect active prelude to a day of backyard barbecues and fireworks.

The course is officially chip-timed by Victory Sports, ensuring precise and reliable tracking for everyone from competitive athletes chasing a personal record to casual joggers. Every runner will receive a personalized race bib integrated with an RFID timing chip, a commemorative event shirt, and a beautifully crafted finisher medal to mark their achievement. For those pushing the pace, competitive awards will be presented to the top three overall finishers as well as the top performers across various age groups.
