About this race
What better way to welcome August than with a summer sendoff cross country event! This will be hosted at the incredible LCU Cross Country course, the same course where the Big 12 Championship and NCAA regionals have been run! There will be 3 races offered. There will be a traditional cross country 3 mile open to all ages, an open 1 mile for all ages, and a 1 mile that is only for kids age 11 and under. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go towards our Lubbock Area Elementary Running program.

Running
3 Mile Run
This event will have medals for the top 3 overall male and female runners, as well as top 3 age group awards (somewhat traditional age groups). **Must be at least 12 years old for the 3 mile. Age groups: 12-14 (MS) 15-19 (HS) 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70+
1 Mile OPEN (all ages)
This event will have medals for top 3 overall male and female runners only. Adults and kids can run together! This will be mix of runners looking to get a great mile time and those who just want to do a short fun run.
1 Mile Elementary (11 and under only)
This event will have medals for top 3 overall male and female runners as well as age group awards (7 & under, 8-9, 10-11). **No adults in this race!! This will be a competitive kids race. Don't put kids in this race who can't do the course on their own.
