Full Moon Gauntlet
About this race
As the sunsets and the full moon begins to rise over the desert, you begin an epic journey across what looks like moonscape, over a far away peak only to summit to one of the tallest peaks in SoCal. Now begins your starlit quest to do epic shit.
Friday night, May 1st at 9pm we step off into the desert under a full moon and we don’t stop until it’s done.
We’re hosting a one of a kind overnight full moon hike deep in the Anza Borrego Desert. No crowds, no noise, just you, the moon, and a mountain most people will never even attempt.
We’re keeping the peak a secret for a reason. What I will tell you is this… it’s considered one of the toughest hikes in San Diego County. Roughly 22 miles round trip with over 8000 feet of elevation gain. Rugged, dry, unforgiving terrain. Barely a trail. Less than 100 people a year even touch it.
This is not a casual stroll. This is a gut check.
You’ll climb through the night under a full moon, push past doubt, and earn a sunrise most people will never see. No shortcuts, no hand holding, just grit, mindset, and a crew that shows up ready.
And here’s the deal… this is the only overnight full moon hike we’re doing this year. You miss it, you miss it.
If you’ve been looking for something different, something raw, something that actually challenges you… this is it.
Spots are limited. Step up or sit this one out.
NOTE: Gut Check Fitness, LLC policy is that there are NO REFUNDS and/or TRANSFERS. You are making a commitment to train, work hard, stay focused then to show up and get it done. Please reach out if you are in need of a training program.
