Gainesville Turkey Trot 5K/10K/Half Marathon and Youth Fun Run presented by Limestone Shirt Factory
About this race
This is a fun event for the entire family. For those who might want to run a short distance to those who want to take a Thanksgiving morning stroll to the more serious runner that wants to run somewhat of a hilly course before chowing down on Thanksgiving Dinner. Very laid back but FUN!! This is our 17th year of a fun tradition offering a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. We also have a 1mile FUN RUN. The 5K, 10K, Half participants will receive a nice soft quarter zip hoodie. In order to receive a special quarter zip you must sign up by NOVEMBER 16th. The participants in the FUN RUN will receive a printed long sleeve drifit shirt and a medal - everyone is a winner!! We will also be providing digital timing this year! Fast results will be posted immediately. We ask that you bring 3 can goods to bib pick up or race morning to be donated to Gainesville First United Methodist Church to share with those in need over the holidays.
Please bring at least 3 canned goods to benefit GFUMC with your registration!
- All races begin about 8:00 am (Right after FUN RUN) at the Riverside Military Academy track area. Package pickup will be on Wednesday 12:00 - 5:00 and race morning beginning at 7:00 am.
- The 1 mile FUN RUN will be at 7:45. This will be 4 loops on the track.
- The Half Marathon course is a challenging course with a few hills - self serve aid stations along the way.
- The 5K is an out and back loop and the 10K repeats the 5K course 2 times. 2 water stops provided. Porta Potty at 5K midway.
PACKET PICK-Up will be available on Wednesday, Nov. 25th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Limestone Shirt Factory - 2480 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Route for Half Marathon is 3 Loops - LESS Hills - can see your family and friends more often. Support riding the course the whole time.
Youth 1-Mile FUN RUN
This will be on the Riverside Track. We will start at 7:45 so we can begin other races as soon as possible. Each of these participants will receive a long sleeve shirt and a finishers medal!
