George Mason 5K and Fun Run
About this race
Join us for the annual George Mason 5K and Fun Run! This year, all proceeds from the event will benefit the George Mason University Disability Services Fund, which helps provide scholarships, programs, and events that enhance support for students with disabilities.
If you would like to make an additional contribution, tax-deductible donations can be made through the GMU Foundation. Your generosity helps us create a more inclusive and supportive campus community.
Event Fees and Benefits
- 5K Run-Walk: $35 ($20 benefit)
- Kids Fun Run: $30 ($20 benefit)
Join fellow runners on October 17, 2026 for the George Mason 5K and Fun Run. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Fairfax.

This event will be in person on the George Mason University campus in Fairfax, VA. Registration Fee: $35 Benefit Amount: $20 What’s Included: Entry into the chip-timed 5K race, official race t-shirt, bib, and post-race refreshments. Current GMU Students: A discounted registration rate of $20 is available for current GMU students with a valid coupon code. Student registration closes at midnight on October 17. Gift cards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female winners. Medals will be given to age group winners. **Day of registration is available until 7:45 a.m. on race day. Unfortunately, we can not accept cash**
Kids' Fun Run
(Ages 7–12) Registration Fee: $30 Benefit Amount: $20 What’s Included: Entry into the one-mile fun run, race t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Note: Parents or guardians are welcome to run alongside their child at no additional cost.
