Join us for the Girls on the Run Mid-Michigan Spring 5K!
Celebrate empowerment, confidence, and community at our Spring 5K! Whether you run, walk, or cheer, this event is for everyone. Join hundreds of girls, families, and supporters as we cross the finish line together and celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our participants.
Open to the public—come be part of this inspiring, feel-good event and help us create a day full of joy, energy, and unforgettable memories!

Giveaways: Finisher medals & T-shirt available to all participants.
Register by May 1 to guarantee your shirt size. If you DO NOT want a shirt, please select "Opt Out" or No Shirt from the drop down menu when registering.

Friday May 5/15 Complete Runner, 3170 S Linden Rd, Flint from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM
Saturday May 5/16 at Playmakers, 2299 W. Grand River Ave, Okemos from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM
RACE DAY Sunday May 5/17 at MSU, Conrad Hall, 943 Conrad Rd, East Lansing from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM
Results: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be live on this site. Timing done by Michigan Running Foundation. Age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
No-shows to the race will forfeit their shirt and finisher medal.
Parking: parking on MSU campus is free on Sundays. Recommended lots/ramps are Parking Ramp 3 or lots 112, 113 or 33. See PDF below with map of lots.
Join fellow runners on May 17, 2026 for the Girls on the Run Mid Michigan 5K. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in East Lansing.
Races Offered
Running
5k Run/Walk - Adult
Open to community members and family members of girls enrolled in the program. Ages 13+.
5k Run/Walk - Youth
Open to community members and family members of girls enrolled in the program. Ages 12 and under.
5k Buddy
A Running Buddy completes the 5k with a GOTR girl and expresses support and enthusiasm for her accomplishment! Running Buddies must be 16 or older. Running Buddies must EITHER: be acquainted with the GOTR girl that they plan to run with and provide her name and the school or program site where she participated this spring OR belong to a GOTR partner organization unless other arrangements have been made with a GOTR representative. Community runners who are NOT acquainted with the girl they plan to run with must complete a background check. IF YOU HAVE SELECTED THIS ACCIDENTALLY, PLEASE CLICK BACK TO SELECT ANOTHER CATEGORY
GOTR Coaches
This option is available to coaches already signed up as a part of the program. Coaches will need to register for the event if they plan to walk or run.
