About the Event
Give back one gallop at a time on Thanksgiving morning! When you run the Gobble Gallop 5K, you support our Annual Campaign, which ensures that all ages can experience the benefits of Y membership, including health, fitness and education. In 2024 we were able to give over $401,571 in financial assistance to our Westside Community.
The Hendricks Regional Health YMCA strives to make a difference in the lives of people in our community every day. The Gobble Gallop 5k is our largest fundraising event for our Annual Campaign. This past year, the donations we received towards our Annual Campaign helped provide over $401,571 in financial assistance to qualifying Westside families. We were able to provide children with the opportunity to attend preschool, take swim lessons, and play in our youth sports leagues. We would never be able to reach that goal without the help of community members like you. Join us this Thanksgiving and help us give back to our Westside community!
Join fellow runners on November 26, 2026 for the Gobble Gallop. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K, 0.4K, 10K featuring a flat and fast course in Avon.

Gobble Gallop 5K
The 5K is an out and back through downtown Duluth. The start is on London Road at the Rose Garden and the course follows London Rd south onto Superior Street to 5th Ave. W and back.
Tough Turkey 1-Mile
The 1-Mile is an out and back on London Rd. The route starts on London Road near the Rose Garden, follows London Rd onto Superior Street to the turnaround in front of the Fitger's building.
Gobble Giddy Up! Kids Run
The Gobble Giddy-Up! Kids Run is an out-and-back that begins near the Rose Garden on London Road and turns around at Duluth Running Company.
Gobble Gallop 5K
The original Gobble Gallop 5K. This option is for those who wish to run the 5K in person at the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA on Thanksgiving morning. **In the event that we move the race to fully virtual, in person participants will automatically become virtual participants, NO REFUNDS**
Gobble Gallop 5K - Virtual
Complete your Gobble Gallop 5K anytime the month of November! You have the option to run the official Gobble Gallop 5K course with the RaceJoy app or complete a course of your choosing.
Leftover 10K - Virtual
Earn those Thanksgiving leftovers with a little extra challenge. The Gobble Gallop 5K + an extra 5K = The Leftover 10K! Complete your 10K anytime the month of November.
