4.4 Mile Early Bird (2023 4.4 Mile Participant)
The Great Chesapeake Bay Swim (GCBS) event is a charitable fundraiser for several worthwhile charities concerned with health and the environment. The Champions Challenge Charitable Contributions Program allows swimmers to secure a spot in the 4.4 mile swim and raise additional funds for a worthy cause. Swimmers can by-pass the lottery entry process and secure a spot in the 4.4 mile swim for 2024 event under the following conditions: (1) participation in either 4.4 or 1 mile swim on June 11, 2023 AND (2) the minimum charitable contribution If you participated in the 4.4 Mile Swim on June 11, 2023: Next step is to submit this registration, which includes both your registration fee ($350) and the minimum charitable contribution in the amount of $350. Charitable contributions are defined as funds that a swimmer raises via charitable contributions, an additional amount paid by the swimmer and/or matching funds. If the swimmer opts for a refund at a later date, they will only be eligible for a refund of their registration fee ($350 registraiton minus a $75 processing fee) for a total of $275. The charitable contribution of $350 will be considered a donation and will not be subject to refund.

The amount due is the difference between the 1 Mile registration fee of $75 and 4.4 Mile registration fee plus a minimum charitable contribution of $350. Charitable contributions are defined as funds that a swimmer raises via charitable contributions, an additional amount paid by the swimmer and/or matching funds. All funds and this form must be received in the by September 29, 2023. If the swimmer opts for a refund at a later date, they will only be eligible for a refund of their registration fee ($350 registraiton minus a $75 processing fee) for a total of $275. The charitable contribution of $625 will be considered a donation and will not be subject to refund.
