About this race
- Onyx Racing Products Adventure Ride (untimed): Self-supported gravel/adventure ride around the Swedetown trails. The course is TBD and will be greater than 20 miles. A route GPX will be provided. 9 am start time
- Onyx Racing Products Long Race: 20+ mile course including some of Swedetown's most challenging trails
- Downwind Sports Medium Race: 12-18 miles on fast, fun blue trails
- Level Up Branded Apparel Specialists Short Race: 6-10 miles on fun, beginner-friendly blue trails
- Rhythm Bike Shop Youth Long Race (15 & Under): 3-6 miles on ski trails and easy singletrack
- Level Up Branded Apparel Specialists Youth Short Race (12 & Under): 1-3 miles on ski trail and easy singletrack
- Rhythm Bike Shop 100 Yard Untimed Tots Event: A free race for kids on tricycles, strider bikes, etc. If they are just learning to ride, here they can have the joy of participating.
The first 120 registrants for the paid events will receive an event t-shirt from Level Up Branded Apparel Specialists and a custom top cap from Onyx Racing Products! Registrants 121-180 will receive a top cap, but not a t-shirt.

The Great Deer Chase brings an exciting 47.5K, 24.1K, 15.9K, 6.8K, 3.5K, 0.2K to Calumet, Michigan on August 15, 2020. Don't miss this beautiful event!

Mountain biking
30 Mile Race
30 Mile no-lap race, comprised of about 55% fast, flowy singletrack. Race includes the U.P. Singlespeed Championships. Although the course can be technical at high speed, a beginner with adequate level of fitness could finish this course.
15 Mile Race
Features about 45% singletrack trails that will challenge one's bike handling skills at speed. Like the 30 mile can be conquered by mountain bikers of any level. Course splits off at mile 10 of the 30 mile and rejoins at mile 28.
4 Mile - 14 & Under Race
Splits off the 2 mile course and adds a 1.5 mile section of singletrack before rejoining the 2 mile race course. These are the only racers of the day to make use of the "Happy Ending" section of trail. (You have to ride it to know why.) Younger racers (8 & Under) may participate in this event but will be in the 10 & Under category for awards. No strider bikes or bikes with training wheels allowed in timed events.
2 Mile - 10 & Under Race
Starts at the Swedetown Chalet parking lot and goes along two track ski trails until it joins up with the Fawn Chase trail to give young mountain bikers a taste of singletrack. You'll even ride through an old basement. No strider bikes or bikes with training wheels allowed in timed events.
Cycling
10 Mile Race
Less single track in this one as it cuts off the Southside, Farmers Well and Burly sections of single track. It splits off shortly after mile 7 (at the end of Applesauce) and rejoins the 15 mile course after mile 12 (the end of Burly). A little more tame than the 15 mile. A good one for your first outing or for kids that the 4 mile isn't quite challenging enough.
40 Yard Untimed Tots Event
A race for kids on tricycles, strider bikes, etc. If they are just learning to ride, here they can have the joy of participating. Race is near the finish and will be before the start of the timed events. Depends on start and finish location. The facebook page will be updated regarding this a week before the race.
