Hachie 50 Marathon, Ultra and Relay
About this race
On March 6, 2027, The Waxahachie Running Club and the Midlothian Running Club join forces with the Waxahachie Lions Club to sponsor the Hachie 50. The event will benefit the Waxahachie Lion's Club, which supports local children and schools in Ellis County. Title Sponsors are: Edward Jones of Waxahachie -- Paul Box, Paul Colwell, Nick Box and Wess Winn.
The race is held in Waxahachie's Getzendaner city park that is mostly closed to traffic. Course is 90% on concrete sidewalks, 10% dirt/gravel. This is a beautiful, FAST, FLAT & Tree-lined out-n-back course!
We will have custom t-shirts for participants; unique custom medals; free online race photos; and lots of food and drinks during and after the event. Individual awards will be given to the Top 6 Men and Women in each event (no separate masters category). Relay event awards go top Top Male team, Top Female team & Top Coed Team
We will have the below race options on Saturday, March 6th:
- 50 Mile Ultra-marathon Race
- 26.2 Marathon Race (Will be a BQ certified course)
- 50 Mile Team Relay

The Waxahachie Running Club is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that promotes running and walking in Ellis County, which is south of Dallas, TX. We are a friendly, family-oriented group that welcomes all levels; from beginners in our 5k training program up to competitive marathoners, ultra-marathoners, trail-runners and triathletes. Our goal is to bring runners and walkers together encouraging safe, friendly fun-runs. Started in June of 2011 we have grown to over 2400 members.
Join fellow runners on May 6, 2017 for the Hachie 50 Marathon, Ultra and Relay. It's a fantastic Ultra, Marathon featuring a flat and fast course in Waxahachie.

Hachie 50 Mile Ultra-marathon
5:00 a.m. start Runners must begin the final 10 mile loop by 3:30 p.m. and the course closes at 6:30 p.m. $60 registration fee by 12/31/16, $70 by 2/28/17, $80 by 3/31/17, & $100 up to race day.
Hachie 50k Ultra-marathon
7:00 a.m. start 8 hour course time limit (3:00 pm) $60 registration fee by 12/31/16, $70 by 2/28/17, $80 by 3/31/17, & $100 up to race day.
Hachie 50 Full marathon
7:00 a.m. start 8 hour course time limit (3:00 pm) $60 registration fee by 12/31/16, $70 by 2/28/17, $80 by 3/31/17, & $100 up to race day.
Hachie 50 Mile Ultra Relay
5:00 a.m. start Same course time limits as the 50 Mile Race Relay teams can consist of any combination of 2 to 5 runners & each runner must complete a minimum of 10 miles & run 10 mile intervals $150 registration fee by 12/31/16, $175 by 2/28/17, $200 by 3/31/17, & $225 up to race day.
