About this race

Havasu on the Rocks Trail Runs is not only Western Arizona's premier desert trail race we are also your "Official Spring Break Trail Run."  Come run with us and we'll take you from the desert to the lake and back.  With 3 events to choose from; our premier distance, mid distance and an all new 2 miler, we have something for every fitness and competitive level.

This year we are incorporating a very special event. We are dedicating our 7k to the life and memory of Jaeger Hall. Jaeger traveled to Lake Havasu City last March with his mother Loni from Pinehurst, ID to run in our inaugural 7k event.  Tragically less than a month later we were informed that Jaeger had died unexpectedly due to an accident in his home.

My wife Tonya and I attended Jaegers's memorial in Idaho only to be enamored by the young man we came to know.  As a father myself I knew instantly I wanted to dedicate this year's run to him and his parents Chad and Loni.  With their blessing we are doing just that. So, this year our 7k will be named after an incredible young man who was an athlete, avid outdoorsman and hunter. So run like Jaeger and when you do, look up, take it all in and smile like he did.  This one's for you young man! We will be donating the proceeds of our 7k, to a charity or cause yet do be decided by AZAK and the Hall Family.

Make plans to hit the dirt at sunrise on March 27th of 2027. Choose your adventure with a trail Half, 13k, 7k and are all new 2 miler.  Flowing single-track, desert landscape, rugged views, blue green waters of the Colorado River, a towering Lighthouse and an aid station on the beaches of Lake Havasu are all waiting for you.

If you missedThe Half and 13k will take you across some amazing single and two track trails as we lead you on a trail run adventure to a lighthouse at Pilot Rock cove. Perched on top of Pilot Rock is a stunning white lighthouse on the shores of Lake Havasu. This working lighthouse guides boaters along Lake Havasu and will be your destination on the Pilot Rock Punisher Half or Pursuit 13k race.

Your purchase of race swag and donations help fund Forged Outdoors our firefighter peer driven non-profit, addressing firefighter mental health and resiliency through outdoor activity.  EIN 33-3443841. THANK YOU!

IMPORTANT - Absolutely no furry friends allowed. We will have a ZERO tolerance policy in effect. No leashed or unleased pets in the vendor, race corral area or with a participant wearing an AZAK Event Co. race bib.

FOUR HOUR TIME LIMIT - Racers are subjected to a four-hour time limit cut off. The half and 13k are NOT intended to be hike events due to this time limit.

Pilot Rock Half Marathon

If you're looking for a true desert trail half that takes you from the desert to the lake and back, look no further? The Pilot Rock Half Marathon brings a mix of fast single track as well as a section of an old mining road that will let you stretch your legs out with your friends running next to you. Modest elevation changes throughout the race will make this a fun and doable trail half for those looking to dip their toes into a longer distance race on dirt. You'll hit the shoreline of Lake Havasu with the infamous Pilot Rock Lighthouse towering overhead at mile 9.75. A quick aid station or even a dip in the lake may not be out of the question depending on those March temps. We are set for a near sunrise start giving runners the advantage of cooler temps. It's going to be a glorious sunrise run. 4 HOUR TIME LIMIT - Timer cut off time. *ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED - Leave poochie at home for this one.

Jaegers Run 7k

Welcome to Jaegers Run 7k. This run is dedicated to the life and memory of Jaeger Hall. In 2026 Jaeger, a striking young man, avid outdoorsman, athlete and wildland firefighter from Pinehurst, ID traveled to Lake Havasu with his mom Loni and ran in our inaugural 7k. Tragically just a month later we were informed by family that Jaeger had lost his life in an unexpected accident at his home. We didn't know Jaeger personally but we didn't need to. One look at his photo running up Heart Attack Hill told us all we needed to know. He loved life, loved the outdoors, loved his family and most importantly loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So what can you expect? This is a scenic 7k that is made up of both single track and old mining road trails. You'll encounter several short ups and downs making for a fun and flowing trail. But it's trail so yes, its a great challenge. Big horn sheep traverse this corridor so be sure to glance up into the hills once ya hit the old mining road. Whatever ya do....don't trip. So get signed up and enjoy the outdoors like Jaeger did. Enjoy the journey, look up, smile and take it all in. RACE NOTE: This event DOES NOT go to Pilot Rock. *ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED - Leave poochie at home for this one.
