Her Fight Is Our Fight- Pink Power 5K

We are back for year 6!!!  Join us as we continue to help local women in their fight against breast cancer!  We have fun, we race/walk, we shop for a cure, we have amazing raffle prizes, we have lots of fun for the family, and we have great treats.  The Pink Power 5K is the place to be on October 24th!!

Here is my story and more about the race-

When I found out that I had breast cancer, it rocked my world.  I knew that my life would never be the same.  I would be a fighter and then a survivor for the rest of my years.  I struggled to try to understand why this was happening to me and my family.  I prayed a lot.  A lot of people prayed for me.  My heart became filled with this bigger purpose.  This God-given purpose that reminded me that I was given this struggle to not only change me and my life, but to also use my journey through the struggle to help others.  After hearing about how the Stephanie Vest Foundation helped a dear friend of mine while she went through her own breast cancer fight, I just knew that I wanted to put my efforts into raising money for this amazing organization that physically, emotionally, and financially helps local women and their families to make it through their fight against this cancer.  When you sign up and pay your $10 to participate in the Pink Power 5K, you are giving a $10 donation to the Stephanie Vest Foundation.  If you wish to make a bigger donation, there will be a link on the website.  That money will all go straight to the Stephanie Vest Foundation.  We will also have more opportunities for fundraising at the race.  We will have raffle baskets and items (raffle tickets will be $5 for one ticket or $20 for five tickets), family activities, and we will have some AMAZING food from the Brunch Ladies food truck.  We will also have some vendors at the race (a portion of sales from each vendor will go to the foundation as well).  One of my favorite parts of the day has to be the pre-race line up.  We have speakers, singers, and prayers that bless the day.   I am so, so excited to be part of helping this wonderful foundation that will continue to bless families that are forced to fight this fight.  We have important work to do here, so let's get started!!!!!
