When:
Saturday, August 15TH, 8:00 AM / Rain or Shine!
Where:
Southwest University Park
(Clear bag policy is enforced & no pets are allowed inside the ballpark during the event).
COURSE: 5K Run/Fun Walk through downtown El Paso.
3.1 miles total, ending inside the Southwest University Park.
KIDS’ DASH: Starts at 9:00 AM inside Southwest University Park,
Home of the El Paso Chihuahuas. Meet Chico!
CHIP TIMING: Guaranteed for all competitive runners who register in advance.
Chip timing is not available for race day registration.
PARKING: Paid parking is available at city meters, Union Plaza Parking Terminal,
and the Convention Center Parking Garage.
Nutritious snacks and water at the finish line.

AWARDS AND MEDALS
Trophy to the top 3 Male and Female winners in the 5K Run.
Trophy to the Largest Teams & the Most Spirited Team
Signature Medals to the top 3 Male and Female in each 5K Run age group:
12 & under, 13 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 & over
Finisher Medals to the first 800 finishers!

Kids’ Dash $20 $25
Team Discount – A $2 discount for each person for teams of 10 or more. (After the 10th person registers online, the first 9 people will receive a $2 refund. All registrations after will receive the $2 discount. Team registrations must be turned in by July 31, 2026.
NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION FOR COMPETITIVE 5K.
Please note: Race is subject to capacity limits and may close at any time once capacity has been reached.

Free t-shirt and one (1) El Paso Chihuahuas Baseball Game for the first 500 registered participants. The ticket is valid for the game on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

Join fellow runners on August 7, 2021 for the Homerun for the Homeless. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in El Paso.

Virtual 5K Run/Walk
How to participate on the virtual event: 1. Register and choose the one of the 2 virtual options: • 5K Run/Walk (Virtual) • Kid’s Dash (1-mile walk) (Virtual) 2. Download your virtual race bib and print it. 3. Run or Walk! Complete your distances indoors or outdoors from Saturday, August 7th to Friday, August 27, 2021. Pick your route! 4. Document your time with running applications like: •Strava • RunKeeper •Garmin • Apple Watch • ReLive •MapmyRun 5. Take photos and tag @homerunforthehomeless and @RaceAdventures 6. Submit your results by midnight 6:00 p.m. on August 27th from RunSignup Race Page as follows: Navigate to the race's RunSignup race page > and select the Result tab > then select Submit Virtual Results Next search for your registration either by first and last name or by email address and DOB. Once you have found your registration select Submit Virtual Results > Enter in your time > then select Submit Results! 7. Print your Finisher Certificate!
