Hoot Done It? A Meeks Mountain Evening Owl Investigation
About this race
Get to know the owls of Meeks Mountain in this one of a kind outdoor education event with Master Naturalist, Becky Linger. We'll begin by dissecting owl pellets to discover what in the world these owls have been eating and then take an evening hike back up the hollow to call for owls and identify the types of owls we have living on our mountain. This is an event for all ages. Be prepared to walk for a mile or two. A special thanks to our friends at the Pace Foundation for sponsoring this event and making it available at no charge.
We'll begin at 5:30 with pizza and the dissecting will begin shortly after. Bring flashlight or headlamp for the evening walk.
The event is limited to 50 people so sign up soon!
