Hope Water Project 5K
About this race
Imagine the hope that flows when the harsh, unforgiving, dry earth offers up sweet, clean, water! Join us for our annual 5K & Fun Run event – whether you sprint, jog, walk, or volunteer – and make a difference in the lives of the Pokot people of western Kenya. With every well we dig, thousands of lives are impacted. Participate – no matter what your speed – and raise funds for this great cause with an easy-to-customize personal fundraising page. Both events include a family-friendly barbecue, bounce houses, petting zoo, face painting, and lawn games – don’t miss this opportunity to have fun and change lives!
5K Run/Walk: The 5K will start and finish at Kensington Church and will travel through the beautiful Emerald Lakes Village neighborhood. The 5K course is chip-timed by Eastside Racing Company. Results will be available at the event and after on the Eastside Racing website.
Fun Run: The Fun Run is approximately a mile around the church campus. All ages are welcome to run or walk the course!
T-Shirts: All 5K and Fun Run registrations include a t-shirt. Adult and child sizes are available. Registrations completed by 11:59pm on May 18 will be guaranteed a t-shirt.
Awards: All 5K and Fun Run registrations include a custom race medal! There will also be placement medals and gift cards for overall male and female finishers, male and female masters, and under 18 male and female. Male and female Fun Run winners (under 13) will also receive awards.
Packet Pick Up: Packets can be picked up on Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Kensington Church Troy Campus West Entrance from 5-8pm. They can also be picked up on race morning starting at 7:30am.
