Hops Half Marathon
About the Event
The Hops Half is a one-of-a-kind half marathon in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, bringing together the local running community for a memorable race centered around connection, purpose, and a post-run celebration. Set for October 24, 2026, this 13.1-mile event blends scenic routes with a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere, all while supporting the Child Advocacy Center of Rutherford County. Built on the belief that every runner has a story, the Hops Half embraces its tagline, “Miles with Meaning,” encouraging participants to run not just for a finish time, but for a cause that gives back to the community. Please note this will be a 3.5 hr cut off run. This is to ensure all runners are safely back before the Hops Springs festival starts.

📋 Awards Rules
Overall awards are based on gun time.
Age group awards are based on chip time.
No double dipping: Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.
Age groups are determined by age on race day.
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female in each category.
Participants must complete the full course to be eligible for awards.
There will be 3 aide stations that you will pass 2 times.
Along the course mile 2 and mile 6 will have a porta potty.
Please join us after the race for the Hops Spring Fall Festival. 18 bands and 70 food/craft vendors will be out there to celebrate with you. No charge for the festival and the first beverage is on us!

The Hops Half will feature a scenic out-and-back course through the quiet roads of rural Rutherford County, giving runners a chance to settle into the rhythm of the race while taking in the peaceful countryside. Starting and finishing near Hop Springs, the route offers gently rolling terrain, open stretches, and a calm atmosphere that showcases the natural beauty of the area. The out-and-back design also creates a unique sense of connection, as runners pass one another along the course—sharing encouragement, energy, and the spirit that makes the Hops Half truly special.
1 Mile Family Fun Run
The Hops Half will also feature a 1-mile family run designed for both kids and adults, making it a fun and welcoming way for everyone to be part of race day. Held entirely on the Hop Springs campus, this all-grass course provides a safe, relaxed environment that’s perfect for runners, walkers, and families alike. Whether it’s a child’s first race or a chance for parents to join in the fun, the family run is all about participation, community, and creating meaningful memories together—true to the spirit of “Miles with Meaning.”
Virtual Half Marathon
Unable to join us in person? The Hops Half Virtual Half Marathon is the perfect option for you. Whether you’re hitting your favorite trail, running on a treadmill, or jogging through your neighborhood, you can still be part of the excitement and support a wonderful cause. Run on your own time, at your own pace, and stay connected to the race community! Each participant will receive a long sleeve tech t-shirt and finishers medal. Please note that the registration deadline to guarantee your size in a shirt is by midnight on September 30, 2026. Registration will be open until the morning of the event. All items will be shipped to non-local residents the week after the race. Local residents can pick up their race swag during packet pick-up which will be communicated closer to the race date.
