The Howlin’ Moon is one of Claire Lilienthal’s favorite traditions—a morning when students, families, teachers, friends, and neighbors come together to run, walk, cheer, and celebrate our school community.
Whether you’re racing for a medal, jogging alongside your child, or joining the 1K just for fun, there’s a race for everyone.
Come for the run and stay for the fun! We’ll kick off the morning with a group warm-up and finish with snacks, celebrations, and our Howlin’ Moon awards ceremony.

🏃 1K FUN RUN • ALL AGES
Run, walk, skip, or stroll! The untimed 1K is all about getting outside, moving, and having fun together.
Open to all ages
Untimed and noncompetitive
Every finisher is celebrated!
🎖️ 2K TIMED RACE • STUDENTS K–8
Ready for a little friendly competition? The timed 2K gives Claire Lilienthal students the chance to race against their grade-level peers.
Open to students in grades K–8
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals awarded by grade
Parents and caregivers are welcome to run alongside their child but are not eligible for awards

Take on the full 5K! Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply looking for a beautiful run along the waterfront, this race is open to runners of all ages.
