About this race
We want to inspire our community to remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to
our community and also to embrace the loved ones that lost someone too soon. The Hunter's Heroes group welcomes participation from our entire community. We honor officers and military personnel of their service to North Carolina and to the United States of America. Our intention is to remember and celebrate all they do and to provide financial support locally to families in times of need.
Join fellow runners on September 12, 2026 for the Hunter's Heroes Memorial Run 5K. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Boone.

Route will span from Watauga County Sheriff's Office to Boone Police Department. Route will be on main roads (traffic will be held by local law enforcement) and on sidewalks throughout town.
