I Thought Turkeys Could Fly 5k
About this race
This will be the sixth running of the “I Thought Turkeys Could Fly” 5k. The proceeds this year will benefit the DUMA Food Bank. The USATF certified course will begin and end on North General Lee Ave by Tyler Park in Dunn, NC. The course is flat and fast with only 56 ft of elevation change and a downhill finish. The race is scheduled for Saturday November 8, 2025. The race will start at 8:00 a.m. and will be chip timed. Medals will be presented to the top 3 overall female and male. Age group medals will be given to females and males based on USAT&F 10 year groupings: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.
This race will be the third of a Harnett County series, partnered with races in Erwin and Coats. Sign up for all three using the "Bundle" option and save some money! Bundle registration will only be offered until 4/30/25 when the registration for the first race closes.
