Join us for a meaningful morning of community, remembrance, and hope. Whether you are aiming for a personal record or walking with family, your steps help grant life-changing wishes for children who need them most.

• Kids Fun Run: 9:00 AM
• 5K Run: 9:15 AM
• 2-Mile Walk: 9:20 AM

The Run/Walk will begin immediately following the completion of the Kids Fun Run. 

Our Story: Running for Ian

We are Steven and Alison Dimitratos, and we started Ian’s Run to honor the memory of our beautiful son, Ian Thomas Dimitratos. At our 20-week anatomy scan, we discovered Ian had abnormalities. Further testing revealed he had Trisomy 13, a rare genetic disorder caused by an extra 13th chromosome that impacts brain development. Despite being told his chances of surviving birth were low, we held onto hope and prayer just to meet him. Ian was born on October 4, 2020. He lived for 7 beautiful hours before passing away peacefully in our arms.

By joining us at RiverWinds, you help us keep Ian's memory alive while also providing a glimmer of hope to other families. 100% of the proceeds from this race go directly to Make-A-Wish® New Jersey.

5K Run / Walk

Swag: Pre-order by Sunday, October 11th to guarantee your official race t-shirt!

5K Awards: Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Female finishers overall and in the following age categories: 

14 & Under | 15–19 | 20–29 | 30–39 | 40–49 | 50–59 | 60–69 | 70+

Kids Fun Run (Ages 10 & Under)

The Course: Approximately a 1/2 mile run (with a shorter loop for the little ones!) finishing right at the official main finish line.

Swag: Every young athlete receives a finisher medal and an official race t-shirt!

● Platinum Level: $500 – Largest logo on race t-shirt. Banner at the event.
