About this race
Welcome to the Tenth Annual Illinois Homecoming Run! Join us on September 27th at 10:00 am, rain or shine, to run, jog, walk, or roll three miles from the east end of Anniversary Plaza to the Alice Campbell Alumni Center. After finishing, we invite you to celebrate at the Alice Campbell Alumni Center with food, drinks, the Marching Illini, and other special guests to kick off Homecoming week! Students, staff, faculty, alumni, community members, Illini fans, and families are all welcomed!
We also have a Virtual Homecoming Run for those who can't make it to Champaign-Urbana for the in-person race! This will be open for the entire duration of Homecoming Week, September 27th through October 3rd. It should be noted that shirts are not available for the virtual event.
Registration for the in-person race will be open from July 8th at 12pm CDT to 9:30 am on September 27th. To be guaranteed a race t-shirt for the in-person race, please register before 11:59 pm on September 2nd.

2021 Illinois Homecoming 5K Race
Step off for the race will be divided up into waves based on mile time, reducing congestion on the route. To be guaranteed a race t-shirt, please register before 11:59 pm on September 15! 2021 Virtual Illinois Homecoming 5K Race
You can still kick off Homecoming week even if you can't join us in Champaign-Urbana! Wear your best orange and blue to run, walk, or roll the 5K! You will have all of Homecoming week to finish and submit your results. Registration will open at 12:00 am on 8/18 and close at 11:59 pm on 10/9. It should be noted, you will not receive a shirt or a race bib and chip.
