About this race

Join Colonial Sports as we host the 3rd Annual "In Honor of!" 5K Run/Walk.

This race provides an opportunity for all of us to pay our respects, remember, honor and thank those Americans who gave their lives serving our country.  The race course uses the USATF Virginia Capitol Trail Landfall 5k certified course, VA22029RT. Runners and walkers will start and finish near the 0 mile marker on the Capitol Trail and run a flat and fast course through beautiful Landfall.

Fife and Drum will play Taps to kick-off the race in honor of those who sacrificed All! 

Participants will receive a custom performance T (Race T and size guaranteed if signed up by May 11th, 2026), swag bag, entrance into the post race celebration. Post race celebration includes  pizza, beer (21 and older participants only), and other refreshments (for all ages). Music by DJ Dreux.  

First 200 Finishers receive a memorable custom Finisher Medal.

Awards are given to Top three men and women overall and top male and female masters, top three men and women in age groups 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19 and 20-29 up to 80 and over.  Top Five men and women in the competitive Walk.

Join fellow runners on May 28, 2023 for the In Honor of! 5K Run/Walk. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Williamsburg.

Honor Mile

The Honor mile is for those who are not ready to to run or walk a 5K. It is designed for families to enjoy the outing with little ones. It offers an opportunity for our older citizens a chance to participate and honor our fallen. This is not a timed event. Participants receive a race T, Honor mile finisher medal, and refreshments.

In Honor Of! Virtual 5K

This is an opportunity for those who cannot attend this event in person to complete the distance ( 3.1 Miles) at a time and place of their choosing. Virtual participants have until June 11th, 2023 to complete their 5K. Virtual participants receive a Race T and finisher medal. Swag bags will be shipped for a $9.00 fee.
