About this race
Join us for the Historic Rotary Pineapple Man Triathlon. Founded in 1985, the Rotary Pineapple Man Triathlon is the oldest USAT sanctioned triathlon in the state of Florida.

5:00-6:30 AM: Packet Pickup (Arriving after 6:30 a.m. may cause you to miss the race)5:00 AM: Transition Area (TA) Opens: Bike Number Attached and Body Marking required to enter Transition
5:00 AM: Body marking on sidewalk between Historic Ryckman House and Transition Area
6:25 AM: Sunrise
6:40 AM: Transition Closes / Final Call for participants to go to Pier end
6:45 AM: Pre-Race Meeting on Pier
6:55 AM: National Anthem at Pier end
7:00 AM: Race Starts
9:00 AM: Awards Ceremony (Approx. Time)

TRIATHLON COURSE - SWIM/BIKE/RUN
SWIM: 0.25 mile Rectangle course around the historic Melbourne Beach Pier in the Indian River Lagoon.
BIKE: 12 miles Out and back loop; includes a 4 mile straight-away along side a string of ocean side parks and wildlife preserves south on A1A – long, straight, flat and fast.
RUN: 3.1 miles (5K) Loop through peaceful residential beach-side neighborhoods with water available at miles 1 and 2
DUATHLON COURSE - RUN/BIKE/RUN
RUN #1: 2 miles Loop through residential beach-side neighborhoods with water available at miles 1 Start is simultaneous with the first swim wave.
BIKE: 12 miles Out and back loop; includes a 4 mile straight-away along side a string of ocean side parks and wildlife preserves south on A1A – long, straight, flat and fast.
RUN #2: 3.1 miles (5K) Loop through peaceful residential beach-side neighborhoods with water available at miles 1 and 2.
AQUABIKE COURSE - SWIM/BIKE

Awards 3 deep in 5 year Age Groups (14 & under thru 85 & up) , Clydesdale (Men 220+lbs), Athena (Women 165+ lbs), Physically Challenged, Military/LEO/PSO, Novice, Fat Tire, and Relay Teams.
NOVICE: Awards for Top 10 Fastest Males & Females
DUATHLON: Awards for Top 3 Male & Female Duathletes (No Age Groups)
AQUABIKE: Awards for Top 3 Male & Female AquaBike (No Age Groups)

Triathlon
Elite
Elite Division: the elite category exist for those athletes who are not concerned with age group awards, and are seriously competing for the top three overall positions only. These athletes will be placed in wave number 1, so they have the cleanest advantage to an open course. Only the top three positions, first second and third overall for each gender will be awarded in the elite division. Masters awards will be given in the age group categories only.
Age Group
Age Group Division with awards for Male and Female Overall and Top Masters and Top 3 in each five year age group from 14 thru 90.
Adaptive

Athena
To be eligible for this division you must be a female weighing 165 pounds or more. Weigh in will be at packet pickup. Awards will be given to the Top 3 Athenas.
Clydesdale
To be eligible for this division you must be a male weighing 220 pounds or more. Weigh in will be at packet pickup. Awards will be given to the Top 3 Clydesdales.
Military/Law Enforcement/PSO
This division is for active or retired Military, Law Enforcement, Firefighter or Public Service Officer. ID will be required at packet pickup. Awards will be given to the Top 3 Male and Female athletes.
Fat Tire

Novice
This division is for the triathletes that are in their first season of participating in a triathlon. Awards will be given to the Top 3 Male and Female novice athletes.
Relay Teams
Not sure about doing a whole triathlon, why not put together a team and check it out! Relay Teams can be 2 or 3 persons in any mix of genders. Awards will be given to the Top 3 Teams.
Non Competitive
Non-Competitive due to use of equipment
Aquabike
Aquabike
Swim and Bike Only. Top 3 Male & Female Receive Awards. Aqua Bike Athletes time ends when they go over timing mat into transition area. Then re-rack bike and head to Finish line at your convenience to collect finisher medal and photo.
Duathlon
Duathlon
This is Run/Bike/Run Duathlon. Awards will be given to the Top 3 Male and Female duathletes.
Duathlon Relay Team
This is Run/Bike/Run Duathlon. 2-3 Person Relay Teams. Awards will be given to the Top 3 Teams.
