About this race
Join us in beautiful Newburyport, Massachusetts for the 5K and Half Marathon that celebrate the rockstar of craft beer, India Pale Ale. Both races will start and finish at the RiverWalk Brewery, so you can enjoy a cold beer in the taproom after you finish. Once you're done, you can spend the day enjoying everything greater Newburyport has to offer.

IPA Half Marathon
Please, NO PARKING at the Start/Finish line. Parking is available a short walk from the Start/Finish line: PARKING OPTION #1: Newburyport Commuter Parking Area 25 Boston Way Newburyport, MA 01950 Public parking fees apply. PARKING OPTION #2: 28 Parker St Newburyport, MA 01950 PARKING OPTION #3: Newburyport Commuter Parking Area 196 Newburyport Turnpike Newburyport, MA 01950 Public parking fees apply. (walk to end of train platform past Metzy's to reach Parker St) Please, NO PARKING at the Start/Finish line. Races are scheduled from 8-11am. Beer garden opens at 11am. Bib # and race swag pick-up is on race day only from 7:00am – 7:45am. No early birds, please. Bibs must be picked up by participants. Bibs can not be picked up for others. There will be nine aid stations with water near miles 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12. Zym Hydration will also be available near miles 2, 4, 6, 9, 11 & 12. Energy gels will be available near mile 6. With warmer summer temperatures, runners are encouraged to carry additional water with their favorite hydration bottle, belt, vest or pack. Portable restrooms will be available at the start/finish and along the course near mile 3 & 10 as well. The roads are open to traffic. The local Police Department will help monitor traffic. PLEASE stay to the side of the road. Bag check is not available. Please plan accordingly. Award medals are given to the top three M/F in each age group. Overall, 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79. Be sure to visit the tent to pick up your award before you leave (There will not be an awards ceremony). Awards will not be mailed and are not available at any other time. Per USATF rules, gun times are used for scoring. Please be sure to visit the tent to pick up any merchandise you purchased before you leave. Merchandise will not be mailed, returned or refunded and is not available at any other time. Please read the FAQ for all race details.
