The 5k trail race starts at the John Jay Middle School (JJMS) field and traverses the trails of the John Jay Community Trail. It passes by JJMS after the trail loop and heads up to finish at the John Jay Contest Field.
Walking
4k Jay Walk
The 4k walk starts immediately after the 5k race start. It begins in the same place -- at the John Jay Middle School (JJMS) field. It traverses the trails of the John Jay Community Trail, skipping the southern loop. It passes by JJMS after the trail loop and heads up to finish at the John Jay Contest Field.
Running
Kids Jay Dash
The Kids Jay Dash is open to kids in elementary school -- age 10 and younger*. The distance is 200 meters which is halfway around the contest field track. The Kids race will take place after the 5k run / 4k walk finish and the race itself will be on the John Jay Contest Field. Start time shown is approximate but we will try to be as close as possible to that time. *Note: In order to accommodate 5th graders who turn 11 before the race date, we have set the age calculation to be based on kids age as of 12/31/2018. This means your child's age will appear younger in the registration email if their birthday is in Jan, Feb, Mar, or early Apr. but it will be correct on their race results.
