About this race
Join the Joe Warfield Memorial Foundation as we celebrate the life of one of Oklahoma City's favorite runners.
The Joltin' Joe 5k is family-friend, community event intended to raise awareness about distracted driving and create a movement for change. The National Safety Council reports that on a typical day, more than 700 people are injured in distracted driving crashes. Over the course of a year, 42,000 indivudals are killed on American streets. It doesn't have to be this way! Talking on a cell phone – even hands-free – or texting or programming an in-vehicle infotainment system diverts your attention away from driving. Keeping EVERYONE on the road safe is our goal. Your participation and support allows us to invest in initiatives and education to help eliminate these dangers and save lives.

1 MILE FUN RUN STARTS AT 1:3OPM ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2025.
5K STARTS AT 2:00PM ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2025.
The virtual 5k starts on Sunday November 15 and can be completed at any time until Sunday, November 24.

Saturday, November 7 - 10am to 6pm at Red Coyote Classen Curve
Sunday, Race Day, November 8 - Noon to 2pm at The Wheeler Ferris Wheel.

Running
5K RUN/WALK
The ADULT 5K RUN is a timed event on a USATF certified course consisting of a simple out and back route. The route is flat, fast, and suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities. Runners start and finish near the Wheeler Ferris Wheel. They go out 1.55 miles, turn around, and come back to the start/finish line. This is ideal for students age 5-17. With lower pricing this year, we hope to draw in more young people, so they can become advocates for safe driving as they begin their driving journey. All runners/walkers receive a race bib, custom finisher medal with a spinning Ferris wheel, and a ticket to ride the Ferris Wheel. You can add a long sleeve tech shirt for an additional $10.
1 MILE FUN RUN/WALK
The 1 MILE FUN RUN/WALK is is an untimed recreational event that starts near the Wheeler Ferris wheel. The route is flat and suitable for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Runners will walk half a mile, turn around, and come back to the finish line. All runners & walkers receive a race bib, custom finisher medal with a spinning ferris wheel, and a ticket to ride the Ferris wheel! You can add a long sleeve tech shirt for an additional $10. This is a great family event in one of the coolest venues in our city!
5K VIRTUAL RUN
If you can't be there in person but still want to participate, the Virtual 5K option is for you. Run the 5k, (3.1 mile), distance when and where you want in a way that works best for you. All Viritual 5k participants will receive a race bib and custom finisher medal with a spinning ferris. We'll mail your packet the week of 11/16/25. You'll also be emailed a link to submit your time to our online virtual results listing. Participants can also share photos celebrating their experience. Don't let crowds or distance keep you from being part of the fun! You can add a long sleeve tech shirt for an additional $10.
PUSHCHAIR 5K RIDER
This registration is for RIDERS in the pushchair division. Runners pushing riders should register in the regular Adult 5K Runner option.
