Juneteenth Freedom 5K
About this race
We're ready for 2026! Join us for our 4th Annual Juneteenth Freedom 5K on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 8:00am at White Hall State Historic Site.
As of December 2025, race proceeds and donations are currently planned to be split between 3 local charities --- The Maurice Hibbard Non-Traditional Scholarship, The Friends of Maple Grove Cemetery, and New Liberty Family Shelter. Read more about these charities below.

- 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
- 5K Run/Walk, 1 Mile Fun Walk & Virtual option
- Music, food trucks, snacks/drinks and fellowship

- 8:00AM RACE START - 5K Run/Walk & Wheelchair Division

- 9:00AM Awards Ceremony (Top 3 M/F Overall & 1st Place Age Categories)
ADVANCED PACKET PICKUP AT MADISON CO. PUBLIC LIBRARY, RICHMOND

1 MILE FUN WALK
Join fellow runners on June 20, 2026 for the Juneteenth Freedom 5K. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Richmond.
Pick your distance
Running
5K Run/Walk
A 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk on paved surfaces. Runners and walkers of all abilities welcomed. Awards presented for Top 3 M/F Overall. Race will be manually timed with a gun start.
Virtual Runner/Walker
An opportunity to support our charities and run/walk your own Juneteenth Freedom 5K in your hometown. For your $30 donation we'll mail you your commemorative race shirt.
Walking
1 Mile Family Fun Walk
A fun, untimed 1 mile walk. No awards will be presented for this event.
