Katie's Run for the Red 5K
About this race
Join us for the Katie's Run for the Red 5K in support of Team Red Cross!
Whether you run, walk, hike, push a stroller, or bring your four-legged running partner, every mile completed helps support the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross.
This event is especially meaningful to me. Years ago, during the birth of my youngest son, I experienced a life-threatening medical emergency and received 14 units of blood. Those blood donations saved my life and allowed me to return home to my family. You can learn more about my story here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYi2h8vQvhY Today, I am proud to serve with the American Red Cross and am training to run the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon as a member of Team Red Cross.
By participating in this virtual 5K, you are helping support disaster relief, blood services, support for military families, and other critical Red Cross programs that impact communities every day.
How It Works:
• Register and make your donation.
• Complete your 5K anytime during race week.
• Run, walk, hike, or treadmill your miles wherever you are.
• Share your photos social media. Use #KatiesRunfortheRed
• Celebrate knowing your miles helped make a difference.
Together, we can turn miles into hope and help ensure the Red Cross is there when people need it most.
Thank you for supporting Team Red Cross and for being part of this journey to the New York City Marathon!
