Welcome to the 3rd Annual Rural Health Initiative Spooky 5K!
Thank you for choosing to be part of this year's Spooky 5K! Whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, your participation directly supports the mission of the Rural Health Initiative to improve healthcare access in underserved communities.

Many individuals living in rural areas face significant barriers to preventive care and essential health services. Through free screening clinics for uninsured patients, scholarship opportunities for future healthcare professionals, and community-based research initiatives, the Rural Health Initiative is working to reduce these healthcare disparities and create healthier communities.

Your registration includes:

1. Official 2026 Spooky 5K race T-shirt
2. Race bib and timing
3. Access to our family-friendly Halloween festivities and post-race activities. 

Every registration helps fund:

1. Free Rural Health Initiative Screening Clinics
2. The Greene County Food Pantry Garden Initiative
3. Student scholarships
4. Community health research and outreach programs

In addition, we will be hosting a canned food drive during check-in. For every canned food item you bring to donate, you will receive one extra entry into our raffle prize drawing. It's a simple way to support local families in need while increasing your chances of winning one of our exciting raffle prizes!

Don't forget—costumes for the costume contest and trunk or treat are highly encouraged! Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume and join us for a fun-filled morning of fitness, community, and giving back. Awards will be presented for top finishers as well as our costume contest, so come ready to run and show off your Halloween spirit!

Join fellow runners on October 24, 2026 for the Lake Country Rhi Spooky 5K. It's a fantastic 5.1K featuring a flat and fast course in Greensboro.
