LB Endurance Swim Clinics - Open Water Skills
About this race
We are excited to offer two open water swim clinics for triathletes and open water swimmers.
Perfect for aspiring beginners and seasoned racers, this clinic will help you dial in the fundamentals of open water swimming, so you can swim safely and confidently. Competitive swimmers will learn skills to manage pace and the competition.
We'll cover
- Preparation - gear, goggles, wetsuits, course scouting
- Mindset - dismantling fear, building confidence, finding rhythm
- Safety - wildlife, temperature, boats, wind, current, debris, emergencies
- Navigation - sighting, judging distance
- Technique - pacing, stroke adjustment for conditions, racing strategies, buoy turns

If weather or water conditions are deemed unsafe, we may cancel, reschedule or relocate either clinic. If this occurs, we will try to accommodate participants and make up the session, but this is not guaranteed.
