About this race

The Lederhosen Lauf 5K hosted by the Athenaeum Foundation is back after a 6 year hiatus and will take you through the surrounding streets of downtown Indianapolis before returning back to share in its' most popular fundraising event of the year - GermanFest!

Join fellow runners on October 3, 2026 for the Lederhosen Lauf 5K. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Indianapolis.

Participants must keep a 16:00 min/mile pace. Should you not be able to keep that pace, our sweep bus will pick you up and drop you off at a safe location near the finish line.
