About this race
Welcome to the Liberty Sprint 5K kicking off Edmond's LibertyFest, the largest 4th of July celebration in Oklahoma!
Join us at Mitch Park on Saturday June 27th at 8:00 am for a 5K Run/Walk or a 1 Mile Fun Run!
The event is great for the whole family from strollers to grandparents, and dog friendly for well-socialized pups on a leash. We do ask that any participants with dogs be prepared with a "pick up" bag to attend to any unscheduled potty breaks on the course. We want to leave the park spotless, so we need everyone to do their part!
For additional fun, participate in our costume contest! We'll have a special prize for the most amazing get up.
The event will support the Travis Manion Foundation, empowering veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations.
Join fellow runners on July 5, 2025 for the Liberty Sprint 5K. It's a fantastic 5.1K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Edmond.

5K RUN/WALK
The course starts and finishes on the west side of Mitch Park this year and does a loop of the recreational trail. The route is gently rolling and suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities. Course map is available to view and download below.
VIRTUAL 5K RUN/WALK
Want to join the fun but can't join us on race day? Choose the virtual option and you can get your run done and submit your results any time between race day and midnight July 4th. You can have a friend or family pick up your packet and finisher medal during scheduled times prior to the race.
1 MILE FUN RUN
Here's a great opportunity to burn some energy off the kids or take a leisurely morning stroll without having to go all the way around the park. Be back in time to cheer the 5K runners and enjoy the event!
