Lifeline's Run for One 5K
About this race
Started in 2011, the R(un) for One 5K is a family-friendly annual event where Lifeline Children’s Services' alumni families, friends, advocates, and community partners gather to raise awareness and support for vulnerable children around the world.
Through Lifeline’s global orphan care ministry (GOC), children are being loved, equipped, and encouraged as they enroll in school, learn life skills, and hear the hope of the gospel.
On Saturday, August 29th, runners from across the country will lace up for this life-changing cause. Whether you join us in Birmingham, AL or choose to Run Where You Are, your miles matter!
In Birmingham, the race takes place at Veterans Park. It’s a fun-filled morning with bounce houses, food trucks, face painting, and activities for the whole family. We can’t wait to see you there!
Prefer to run virtually? With our Run Where You Are option, you can participate from your neighborhood, a local trail, or even a treadmill—wherever you are! Virtual runners receive a race packet in the mail, including a T-shirt, and can run anytime on or before August 29th. Share your photos with #RunForOne and be part of the global Lifeline community standing for vulnerable children. **PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CAN NOT ENSURE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR SHIRT BEFORE AUGUST 29TH IF YOU CHOOSE THIS OPTION AFTER 8/10/26.**

FBC Corinth - Adult 5K
Dear FBC Corinth Runners, The R(un) for One is here at FBC Corinth, TX, on Saturday, September 9th! I am so grateful you are joining us for a fun morning together! You'll find some details below. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. By signing up under Team FBC Corinth, we'll know to expect you at our location. We cannot wait to see you as we R(un) for One! Please Note: Be sure to signup by clicking "join" at the top right of this team page, then select one of the FBC Corinth options when you register. This will let us know you're coming. Where do we meet? We will meet at First Baptist Church Corinth, on the street-side of the building, near our preschool entrance. 3033 Meadowview Drive, Corinth, TX 76210 What time do we arrive, and what time does the run start? The run will kick off at 8:00am. If you arrive at 7:40am, you'll have plenty of time to check-in, use the restroom, and grab a drink of water. We will gather a few minutes before the run, encourage everyone, and pray together as we kick off the run. Will there be restrooms available? Yes. Restrooms will be just inside the double glass doors next to the registration tables. When will we get our shirts? You can pick up your shirt as you arrive or just after your run. We understand that some see that shirt as your trophy for finishing. However, you can even run in your R(un) For One shirt if you'd like. This day is about having fun and prayerful time together. Who knows, someone might see you on your run and ask what it's all about. Will water be provided? We will provide water bottles at the start of the run, and you are welcome to carry one with you. However, I do want to encourage you to drink water leading up to the event. Water consumed before the event is far more effective than what you consume during a run of this distance. Where are we running? We will be running a loop around our church's neighborhood. The links below will take you to both the 5k and 1-mile routes. I strived to keep the routes simple and enjoyable. If you'd like to have the map with you during your walk/run, you should be able to open these links on your smartphone. You'll also find QR codes for your map at registration on Saturday. 5K ROUTE: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/4596534637 1-MILE ROUTE: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/4596575965 Is this run timed? It's estimated that only .5% of orphans around the globe will ever see adoption. This is where Lifeline's (un)adopted ministry comes in. They exist to equip local churches worldwide to care for orphans by teaching them life skills, providing holistic care, and, most importantly, sharing the good news of Jesus. Thank you for taking part in caring for the fatherless, as God calls us to do in James 1:27. See you Saturday, September 9th! In Christ, David Baysinger Student Pastor FBC Corinth
