About this race

The Light the Way 5K is a community run hosted by Youth & Family Services in celebration of our 50th Anniversary. This event supports the Youth & Family Services Emergency Youth Shelter and helps fund future plans for a new shelter facility to better serve youth in crisis.

By participating, you are directly helping provide safety, stability, and hope to children and teens who need it most. Whether you run, walk, or support from the couch, your involvement helps “light the way” for youth in our community.

  • 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk (not timed): 8:00 PM 
  • Timed 5K: 8:30 PM

    2200 SE Washington Blvd.
    Packet pick-up and same-day registration will also be available at Unity Square at 7:00 PM on race night.
